L-Cartinine Shots and Weight Loss Gummies - The Truth!

ree

It's actually scary how clever marketing has got when it comes to weight loss. The one which blew my mind? A pack of jelly in Asda with a big label on the front promoting that it was 'FAT FREE'?!!!? Those jellies are pure sugar. Jelly does not have fat. Yet some will fall for that label as meaning 'healthy', in desperation to reach their goals.

So, let's go to the main topic of this blog, L-Cartinine Shots/Drinks and Weight Loss/Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies.

Lets start with L-Cartinine - the key facts

L-Cartinine is an amino acid produced by the body to convert fat to energy.

Your body generates it naturally and you can also get it from animal based sources such as beef, poultry, pork, fish and dairy products.

Then there are supplements, which:

  • may improve blood flow

  • may reduce inflammation

  • Supports using fat rather than muscle as an energy source

  • may help manage or prevent Type 2 diabetes

  • can boost performance with your workouts

  • amongst more benefits!

Plenty of positives. And medical advice suggests perfectly safe as long as only taken for up to 12 months. I'll be fully honest and say in each of the studies I've read, there was not clarification on the reasons for the 12 months, but I would assume negative side effects may become more likely? But it certainly doesn't look like too much cause for concern.

L-Cartinine In Shots And Drinks - What To Be Aware Of

I looked at one of the most popular L-Cartinine shots, used by a good few ladies that I know. And the combination of L-Cartinine, Green Tea and B-Vitamins is a fabulous combination of natural energy boosting and feel good. But here's where the marketing side frustrates me. On the website, and anywhere public, they actually DO NOT SHARE THE INGREDIENTS LIST!!

ree

What they share, is the key ingredients which they have chosen to share. Including stating 'naturally sweetened with Stevia'. When you dig into the actual ingredients, its sweetened with Stevia AND Sucralose (one of the most damaging artificial sweeteners). I'm assuming the sucralose is the main sweetener, then they have to add a little stevia for legal purposes to advertise it. And to make you believe it is a healthy choice.

What's wrong with this? Sucralose...

  • disrupts your gut balance, therefore also impacting on mental health

  • can trigger inflammation, leading to a range of other medical issues

  • can lead to insulin resistance, increasing risk of Type 2 diabetes

  • spikes dopamine in your brain and blood sugar surges, putting you on the same addiction, energy and mood rollercoaster as refined sugar.

So you are paying for a supplement to reduce risk of weight gain, diabetes and inflammation, then they have added an ingredient which increases the risk of weight gain, diabetes and inflammation!!!!

"How about Apple Cider Gummies? I'm definitely losing weight on these!" report many ladies.

Apple Cider Vinegar - The facts

A fabulous way to support your health and wellbeing.

  • Can support weight loss

  • Can lower blood sugar levels

  • Can kill harmful bacteria

  • Can manage diabetes

  • Can improve heart health

How to get full benefits?

No more than 1-2 spoons a day, and choosing a quality product. You can get a bottle of organic apple cider vinegar from supermarkets for just around £3. One of my clients chose to have a small bowl of salad with a spoon of Apple Cider Vinegar as a starter before dinner each day. Perfect.

But how about the gummies?

Let's say it how it is. They're sweets. I looked at three different brands. Out of these, two didn't even hide the fact that their top two ingredients were refined sugar and glucose syrup. Plus extra fillers, derived from sugar and palm oil. Disrupting gut health, skin health, blood sugar balance, energy moods, increasing inflammation and reducing chances of long term weight loss success.

ree

The third (very popular brand) that I looked at? Again cleverly avoids sharing the ingredient list, apart from a selection of ingredients which it knows will tick your boxes. When I dug deeper (which took some doing) they have a treble whammy of glucose syrup, sucrose and maltitol syrup.

The Verdict?

Treat yourself to quality, organic apple cider vinegar for just a few £s a month. Then, if you want sweets too? Get yourself some Haribo. Then at least you're doing it with awareness of what you're having.

Let's Summarise

Everything is a choice, but (if your health is a priority) then choose with full knowledge. I'm not denying there are some transformational supplements out there. I have some I could not be without. All completely free of refined sugar and artificial sweeteners. And mostly completely botanical. It's about reading the labels. And if they are secretive with their full ingredients label? There will be a good reason why....
